We collect and invest contributions from and distribute pension benefits to nearly 2 million people who trust us to provide all or a significant part of their retirement income. In doing so, MN plays a substantial part in making a better world. We also strive to accomplish this by applying the principles of corporate social responsibility (CSR) to everything we do. Our CSR goal
MN’s goal is to be recognised by its stakeholders as a company that takes its Corporate Social Responsibility seriously. We achieve this by consistently ensuring that all of our core processes comply with CSR principles. Our performance in the area of CSR is also reinforced by participating in national and international CSR initiatives and benchmarks. We actively address CSR issues with our stakeholders and are constantly researching possibilities for more sustainable products.
CSR in pension administration
We fulfil our corporate social responsibilities in our pension administration work by supplying excellent service at the standard market rates. Our communications are clear and accessible so that everyone can understand the information about their pension.
CSR in asset management
As our client, you decide whether or not you want to invest in something, as well as what you wish to vote for or against as a shareholder. MN carries out your investment policy, although we are always glad to provide you with any advice you require about that policy or to assist you with formulating it. We strive to invest your pension assets in accordance with the
‘ten guiding principles of corporate social responsibility’ established in consultation with our clients. We are always seeking new, sustainable investment opportunities and monitoring the social aspects of existing investment portfolios. This is how we avoid investments in companies that manufacture certain products in contravention of international treaties. Along with other major investors, MN uses its influence to tackle the problem of harming the environment.

MN is proud to set an example by ensuring that our internal business operations comply with the principles of CSR. We focus on sustainable procurement and reducing the impact we have on the environment by taking such measures as reducing our CO2 emissions.
